    Poor Quality

    This is not a good product at all, the splitter lower lip is hollow, I opted for nuts and bolts to be more secure, and when you tighten the bolts, it pulls the top and bottom faces together, the more you tighten, the more it depresses and deforms, tightening this too much will ultimately cause stress and fracture the plastic, not tightening enough may cause the bolts to loosen.
    The fitting intsructions also say to fix 6pc per side, this was another reason I chose bolts, as I was supplied with 9 screws in total, which isn't enough according to the instructions.
    I have decided not to put this on my car, and I will source an alternative product, that is solid and more secure.

    I was hoping to add more external trim but this has put me off buying anything else from Carbon Factory.

    This splitter has a double-layer construction, and the top and bottom faces should not be clamped together with through-bolts. Tightening them together can compress and deform the splitter, which is consistent with the issue you describe.

    We have sold thousands of this exact model and fitted it successfully in our workshop using the intended fitting method.

    We would recommend visiting one of our authorised fitters, who can inspect the item and ensure it is fitted correctly and securely, provided it has not been damaged.

    F36 splitter

    Quality wise it all appeared to be good. I fitted with the spoiler with all the supplied equipment and low and behind it snapped in half driving down the motorway. A straight line and it snapped into two pieces. Will not be buying another

    As these parts are positioned on the bottom of the front bumper and experience a lot of force on the road, the way they are secured is really vital to how they perform.
